Portrait Coffee

October 2020

PORTRAIT represents a desire to change the picture that comes to mind when you think of specialty coffee. Coffee was first discovered by African’s over 1,000 years ago. Today, it’s one of the most widely consumed beverages globally—coming second only to water. These trailblazers couldn’t have foreseen the global impact of their discovery. On the other hand, they likely never imagined that their faces would be forgotten, even though coffee’s pigment reflected their own. At Portrait, coffee is more than a product; it’s a platform to do good. We hope to paint a more accurate history, that includes those who have been photoshopped out. Thanks for your continued support in helping us pour a new narrative.
