Plumbing in your machine can be a great upgrade, however, it is a real installation and requires some special considerations. Before you buy, consider the following:

Properly treated water. Compare your local water to our Water Specifications, install the appropriate water treatment, and make sure you know how to maintain that system.

Correct water pressure and flow rate. Your inlet should provide between 2 to 4 bar of dynamic pressure, and at least 2 gallons per minute of flow rate. A water shutoff valve you can reach quickly should also be installed.

A drain line. If you plumb in, you must plumb out. Many installs also require drilling a small hole through the countertop.

Professional installation. We strongly recommend hiring a local espresso technician for installation. They can make sure everything is secure, set pressure and flow correctly, and help with water treatment for your area. Please reach out for a recommendation.

Damage related to and resulting from a plumbed-in machine is not covered under warranty. This includes untreated water, water damage to your machine or home, and damage caused by an improperly installed plumb kit.

Not sure you’re ready? Run your machine from the reservoir for a while first. It’s reliable, and for many homes it’s the better option.
