coffee subscription: march 2026
We are excited to bring you Driftaway Coffee for this months home subscription.
At its core, Driftaway is on a mission to reshape the coffee value chain by championing women and minority producers and creating a more equitable path from farm to cup. Every bag tells a story, and every partnership is rooted in transparency, respect, and long-term relationships.
Driftaway is fueled by connection. Connection to the producers and exporters they work alongside. Connection to their team. Connection to curious coffee drinkers who want to go deeper than just “dark or light roast.” They call it creating “Driftaway moments” — small pauses in the day to reflect, recharge, dream, and feel inspired.
After 11 years as a digital-first company, Driftaway took a bold step in February 2025 and opened the Driftaway Tasting Room in New York City. It’s not your typical café. It’s NYC’s first dedicated slow coffee bar designed entirely around one-on-one education. No rush. No lines out the door. Just intentional brewing, thoughtful conversation, and knowledge of what’s in your cup. Next time you are in the city, try one of their coffee omakase flights, by reservations-only.
She Roars
Origin: Burundi & Guatemala
Producer: Various women producer smallholder farmers at Turihamwe washing station and Todos Santos
Elevation: 1200 – 1950 MASL
Process: Washed
Variety: Bourbon, Caturra & Others

She Roars holds up beautifully in milk, bringing out notes of milk chocolate and toasted almonds, but it’s just as satisfying on its own as a straight shot, where the balance and sweetness really shine.
About the Producers: She Roars is a 100% women-produced blend, sourced from women producers and producer groups across Guatemala and Burundi. Women play a critical role in coffee production worldwide and Driftaway coffee celebrates them with this delicious blend that makes us want to roar with delight at how good it is.

Cardamom Cloud
Origin: Piendamo, Colombia
Producer: Diego Bermúdez
With Milk Tasting Notes: 1960 MASL
Process: Double Anaerobic Thermal Shock
Variety: Castillo
Without Milk Tasting Notes: Cardamom, Pistachio, Butter & Lemon
Description: Diego Bermúdez presents us his finest work with Cardamom Cloud, this coffee is unlike anything we’ve ever tasted before. Balancing a cake-like sweetness with a cardamom-spice lift is nearly impossible in coffee, yet this lot does it effortlessly.
Grown at Finca El Paraíso in Piendamo at 1,960 meters, this Castillo lot showcases Diego’s signature precision in processing. After harvesting at peak ripeness, the cherries are ozone-washed and undergo a 72-hour double anaerobic fermentation, submerged in water with cultures in a milk medium. Once pulped, the coffee is combined with its own fermentation leachates to intensify aromatic precursors, followed by a thermal-shock wash that locks in complexity and sweetness.
The coffee is then dried in a dehumidifier to preserve its delicate aromatics and prevent over-oxidation. The result is a cup that’s floral, spiced, and radiant, with notes of cardamom and pistachio, wrapped in a soft, cake-like body — an exquisite example of the innovation and mastery coming out of Finca El Paraíso.
Brewing Recipe
Dose: 20 Grams
Time: 22 – 24 Seconds
Yield: 40 Grams
Temperature: 200 F
Pressure: 9 Bar
Cardamom Cloud is aromatic, lightly spiced, and very elegant as espresso. The mix of spice and zest (lemon cardamom cake)- also make for a refreshing milk drink, such as a cortado.
Under lower pressure (6 bars), you can extend the yield to find a different layer of sweetness (20g/60g in 28-30 seconds).
People first, Coffee always.
